The men who operate the Watchtower organisation are just ordinary mortals like the rest of us . They have no more insight than the Wizard of Oz they just think they have and those who held top positions within the Org. during the last 100 years who are now dead and buried made the same type of spurious claims just like the Governing Body does today it's all nonsense .Try and mentally step back from its grabbing tentacles it's only when you quietly and cautiously entangle your self from its clutches that you will realise how insidious it is .One day you will turn around ask yourself how on earth did I believe that load of old codswallop

Thanks for sharing this info.I managed to watch part one which I found very interesting .

I always enjoy as well, The Royal Institute Christmas Lectures on television which is where I first saw and heard Richard Dawkins many years ago.

It is a subject which I find interesting . It takes a lot of studying in order to fully comprehend but still fascinating material .

Will Embracing the Internet lead to Increased Growth for the Watchtower?

more important than the reduction in the size of the new magazine is that the watchtower will be actively promoting its website and encouraging people use it to download magazines.

my concern is that this has the potential to lead to an increase in growth for the watchtower.. the door-to-door preaching work has been one of the most inefficient means imaginable to gain converts, and done little more than tie up the time of active jws.

now, by directing people to the internet, witnesses can spread their message at an alarming rate for little cost.. do you feel that this has the potential to lead to a surge in growth of jehovah's witnesses?

The thing is their literature and reasoning can be very appealing to some people and if they transfer that persuasivness to the internet and someone asks for a bible study they will recieve a knock on the door quicker than you can say I'm your new friend and bingo they are hooked.

I suspect that a certain amount of people just want to believe and it's the numbers game some will swallow the bait and live the fantasy because that's what it is a comforting fantasy to some who do not see the other side of the coin.

Thanks for keeping us up to date Barbara. It looks like the the printed magazines are going to end up like a tract this must be a new important milestone in the history of the Watchtower. All the Witnesses will need computors now.

if god decided to kill himself how would we know ?.

has god terminated his existence already and we don't realise it ?.

horrible things have been happening to the human race and other creatures for so long how can we tell the difference whether god is alive or dead?.

I don't know if God is dead or not nobody knows I am just exploring all possible avenues.

Everything I know about God has come from other peoples imaginations every thing written about God is pure speculation.

I can understand your reasoning but how do you know what you say is true is it not just based on faith.

The part that says charitable giving in the UK accounts is misleading I think I am correct in saying that charity giving means sending money straight back to Brooklyn HQ and they allocate it from there to the World wide work which in effect means they give the charity money back to themselves.

This at first glance looks as if they do a lot for charity but its payment back to themselves if I am wrong please correct me.

Ha, Ha the truth will out we told you Witnesses out there in Jehovah land that the Kingdom Hall gatherings were sales meetings.

When are you going to realise that behind the screen is a very large money making machine .

"The Watchtower" licence to print money it's a rich mans World.

And there shall come to be a great profit throughout the land thy name is Watchtower.

It couldn't possibly be a snare and a racket by any chance could it. It makes comfortable reading for the Governing Body living in the lap of luxury they want to watch out not everyone saying Lord Lord are going to paradise. Any camels any needles anyone?
